Big Name Blackouts

A bunch of the big players are participating in today’s blackout including Google, Reddit, and Wikipedia.  Facebook and Twitter, however, announced they would not join in the protest because it was not worth the loss of revenue or the anger it might cause users.  For a more light-hearted but still poignant view on the issues, head over to The Oatmeal today.

Hail a taxi to the Tropicana to drop off bags, sprint to the MGM to pick up our badge holders, hop aboard the monorail and cruise down to Harrah’s, and then trek over to the Venitian in time for the last Microsoft CES Keynote ever. Mission Failed.  Sadly, the conference room was filled to the brim by the time we showed up, 30 minutes before go time.

We will be on the show floor tomorrow morning though, so stay tuned.
